About Anxiety Disorders
Many people experience anxiety in certain situations or more frequently than other individuals. Though most people have some level of anxiety in their lives, patients with anxiety disorders can experience it to a disruptive extent. Symptoms can include: fatigue, sweating, chest pain, palpitations, racing heart rate, shortness of breath, hyperventilation, tremors, insomnia, nausea, and abdominal discomfort.
BryLin Outpatient Mental Health Clinic
Outpatient program available to adults age 18 or older focused on symptom reduction, coping skill development, and support. Services offered include: psychiatric assessment, individual and group therapy, medication management, crisis intervention, substance use, and more.
Insurance, private pay, Medicaid, sliding scale fee.
M-Th 8am-8pm, F 8am-5pm
University at Buffalo Psychological Services Center
Program available to children, adolescents, and adults and offered to UB students, faculty, and individuals in the Western New York and Southern Ontario regions. Services include individual, family, and group therapy, psychological assessments, and psychoeducational workshops. Specialized parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT) and QUIT smoking cessation program also available.
Sliding scale and direct pay only. No insurance, medicaid, and medicare accepted.

Jewish Family Service
Nonsectarian services available to all individuals. Services include mental health and psychiatric programs, care coordination, career development, immigrant and refugee services, center for survivors of torture, and mental health first aid.
Most forms of insurance accepted and sliding scale payments are available for those without insurance.

Greater Buffalo Counseling Centers
Low or no cost counseling for residents of Western New York provided by volunteer peer counselors trained to help manage loss, anxiety, anger, and/or, hopelessness. Referrals are also provided should additional services be needed.

No copays or set fees. Contributions are accepted.
ECMC Adult, Child, and Family Clinic
Comprehensive care center open to adult, families and children that offers daily mental health assessments, individual and group counseling, medication management, treatment for a wide range of psychiatric disorders, substance use disorders, post-traumatic stress syndrome disorder, and clozaril management.
All insurances accepted, financial assistance offered based on ability to pay.
