Suicide Prevention Lifeline

24/7 suicide and crisis prevention services that provides free and confidential support for you, your loved ones, and best practices for professionals. Specific resources are also available for youth, disaster survivors, Native Americans, veterans, loss survivors, LGBTQ+, attempt survivors, deaf, hard of hearing, y ayuda en Español.

Crisis Line

24/7 free and confidential hotline for suicide prevention, crisis management, support, information, and referrals. Available to anyone of any age. Text Start to 741-741 to be connected with a trained crisis counselor volunteer.

Press 2 to reach the Emergency Outreach and Trauma Response Program

Press 3 for calls regarding domestic violence, family violence, rape, sexual assault or elder abuse.

National Domestic Violence Hotline

Free and confidential help available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Services include online chat, support phone lines, and a website which provides information and testimonials. Your Life Your Voice Youth Services

Free and confidential services for children and young adults who may be dealing with a crisis or other difficult life situations. Available via phone, text, chat, and email as well as a website which provides information and a bulletin board Q & A.

Addiction Open Access Hotline

24 hour hotline open to people living in Erie, Niagara, Allegany, Chautauqua, and Cattaraugus counties. Call to connect to a professional and be linked with substance abuse treatment services. Information is also available for friends, significant others, or family members of those struggling with addiction.

Compass House

Confidential and free hotline available 24-hours a day, 365 days a year to connect runaway, homeless, and street youth with safe shelter and services.

Family Help Center

24/7 hotline for families with children of all ages in Erie county. Services include home-based support, parent support groups, and companion childcare groups. Immediate assistance available with no application procedures, no eligibility requirements, and no waiting period.    

Haven House

Domestic violence shelter open to men, women, and children. Services include fully-inclusive emergency shelter, transitional housing, counseling, advocacy program, and 24 hour hotline.  

National Call center for Homeless Veterans

Free and confidential hotline available 24/7 which connects you to a trained VA counselor and offers information regarding VA homeless programs, health care, and other services in your area. Family members, friends and supports can all make the call.

NYS Domestic and Sexual Violence Hotline

Free hotline which can provide you with information on domestic violence resources in your local community. The hotline is accessible in multiple languages and to those who are deaf or hard of hearing (dial: 711).

Warm Line

Free and confidential non-crisis peer support and information line for those feeling sad, angry, frustrated of confused with their situation. Information is also provided regarding local mental health resources. Scheduled face-to-face peer support is also available.
